Free Surface Flow & Multiphase Flow Simulation
The Design offers a complete range of CFD analysis, consulting services, training free surface flow, and training multiphase flow simulation for engineering students.
Free Surface flow
Here, we investigate free surface flow. A liquid, with strong cohesive forces, consists of relatively close-packed molecules that tend to retain their volume. This will form a free surface in a gravitational field if unconfined from above. In free surface flow, gravitational effects are dominant. Since the space between gas molecules is large and with negligible cohesive forces, gas is free to expand until it encounters confining walls.
Gasses cannot form a free surface. Thus, we rarely consider gravitational effects for gas flows other than buoyancy. We can see the free surface flow in the environments such as rivers, channels, and waterways. In the industry, we see the free surface flow in applications such as gear lubrication, wave loading, movement of ships and boats, offshore constructions, etc. For open-channel flow, the extra freedom allows the fluid to select its free surface location and configuration from additional flow types.
CFD simulation of free-surface flows was really a complex and time-consuming process; however, currently, CFD packages like Ansys CFX and Ansys Fluent have provided excellent modules for the simulation of free-surface flows. The Design workshop has years of experience in the simulation of free-surface flows in different applications.
The Design Services
Due to the wide range of mechanical science and the different fields of work as well as the abundance of projects, this workshop offers to view all the products presented in this section. In the absence of any desired project or project close to your request, you can search our portfolios in order to find your eligible project, after all, if you didn’t find any ideal project you can order your project from the services pages on the header of this workshop. Your order will be reviewed by our experts in the shortest possible time, and if we need more information about the proposed project, we will be in touch with you. After completing the required information to examine the proposed project, and confirming your request, the time, conditions, and costs will be sent to you during the contract. This process will take place as soon as possible. If you have any questions, you can contact our online support section (the fixed blue tab below the page). If it is offline, don’t worry, you can post your message, and it will be answered as soon as possible.
